How to Use EPS on a Business Card
Adding your company or personal logo to a business card helps to make your card stand out from other generic looking cards. If you contracted with a graphic designer to design your logo, then it was probably created as an EPS file, or Encapsulated PostScript file. Logos are often created using this file format, because this file type can be enlarged or reduced to any size and will print clearly at any size, from a business card to a billboard. If you are going to insert an EPS file into a Microsoft Word document, make sure you have downloaded and installed the File Converter Pack. Without installing this filter, you will not be able to insert EPS files into Microsoft Word documents.

1
Open your desktop publishing software of choice and create a new document. The standard size for a business card is 2 inches by 3-1/2 inches. If you will print your business cards with a professional offset printer, set your document size at 2 inches by 3-1/2 inches. If you will be printing your business cards at home or at a copy shop, such as FedEx Office or Staples, choose a business card template. You can use the templates inside Microsoft Word or Publisher or download similar templates for programs such as Adobe InDesign.

2
Insert the EPS file into your business card layout. If you are working in Adobe InDesign, select "Place" from the "File" menu and locate the EPS file that you want to insert. If you are using Microsoft Word, click "Picture" from the "Insert" tab and locate the file.
