How to Hide Friendships on Facebook
Facebook lets you share as much -- or as little -- information with friends or strangers as you want. For instance, you can make your Friend list public to allow other people to search for mutual friends easier. On the other hand, you also have the option to keep your Friend list private or completely hidden. Use Facebook's privacy settings to hide your friends.

Log in to Facebook and click "Account" at the top right of the page.

Click "Privacy Settings."

Click "View Settings" under the "Connecting on Facebook" section.

Click the gray box to the right of "See your friend list" section and click "Customize." A Customize Privacy window appears.

Click the "Make this visible" field and click "Only me."

Hide your friends from individual people by entering names into the "Hide this from" section in the Custom Privacy window.
