Instructions

    • 1

Cut the ends off the aluminum pipe with a hacksaw.

    • 2

Draw a line along one side of the pipe, straight down from one end to the other. Use a ruler to make the line as straight as possible, as it will serve as a guide to cut the pipe.

    • 3

Cut down the line on the side of the pipe with a pipe cutter to open the pipe and reveal the center.

    • 4

Carefully fold the pipe to make two, conjoined semi-circles. The semi-circles should be even, at about 2 to 2 1/2 inches in diameter.

    • 5

Cut the two conjoined pieces of pipe apart using a hacksaw. This will leave you with two, long, semi-circular pieces, or two baguette pans.

    • 6

Smooth down the rough edges of the pans using a file.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the pipe's semi-circles are not rounded enough, use a wooden dowel to smooth them out.

  • Be careful when using sharp tools like hacksaws and pipe cutters.
