Steamed milk is used to make delicious drinks such as hot chocolates, lattes, mochas, chai tea lattes or flavored steamers. Most coffee shops use an espresso machine to steam milk but you can easily steam your own on the stovetop. You can even create foam for your drink. Remember that milk can scald and burn easily, so you must constantly stir the milk until it is hot enough to use. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

      Pour the milk into a saucepan. Use a little more than you actually need since some of the milk will foam up.

      Set a burner to medium heat and place the pot on the stove.

      Cook the milk, stirring constantly as it steams and heats through.

      Remove from the stove and whisk the milk quickly to create foam, or slowly if you just want steamed milk.
