How to Add a Header in Blogger Using MS Word
Blogger.com is the push-button publishing website operated by Google. Blogger users can design their own website, using a series of template and layout designs available through Blogger. These layouts come with their own header, which works as a title for the website. If you wish to create your own header instead, you can convert a Microsoft Word document to an image file and upload it to Blogger using one of the website's layout gadgets.
Instructions

1
Create your header in Microsoft Word. Many blog headers contain a combination of text and images. Word gives you the ability to combine both, using the program's "Insert Picture" option under the "Insert" tab on your tool bar.
-
2
Save your design. If you are using Microsoft Word 2010, it will save as a ".docx" file extension; if you are using an earlier version, your file will save with a ".doc" file extension.

3
Convert your file to an image. Open your file in a program like Picasa, PowerPoint or the Paint application available on most PCs, and resave it with a file extension such as ".gif" or ".jpg."
-
4
Log in to your Blogger account, and click on the "Design" tab on the Dashboard. You should land on the "Page Elements" section.
-
5
Click on any of the "Add a Gadget" links on your page layout, then select "Picture" from the list on the pop-up window.
-
6
Check the box that reads "From Your Computer" next to the word "Image" on the next pop-up window. Click on the "Browse" button to search your computer's files; remember, you're looking for the ".jpg" or ".gif" version of your header, not the original ".doc" or ".docx" version you first created in Microsoft Word. Press the "Save" button after your image uploads.
-
7
Select and drag your picture gadget to the top of your blog; this is only necessary if you created the picture gadget in one of the blog's sidebars or footers instead of the header slot. Save your new layout.

Tips & Warnings
Adding a new header to your blog using Blogger's picture gadget will not eliminate the old header that comes standard with your template. To remove this original header -- leaving only the one you created in Microsoft Word -- you'll have to delete the HTML code responsible for generating the header from the "Edit HTML" section under Blogger's "Design" tab.
