When a shirt gets old, worn out or is just too plain, don't render it useless and throw it out. Jazz it up a bit to make it glamorous. There are many things you can do to spice up your old shirts that will save you money and time. Sometimes even slight changes to your outfit can make you look like you stepped off a runway.       Buy a stencil from a fabric store or make your own from cardboard. Place it onto the shirt and color in the design with fabric paint. This will make your shirt truly one of a kind and it will show off your unique style.

      Visit a local fabric or bead store and find beads, rhinestones or stones of your choice to apply to your shirt with a glue gun. You can make a subtle change and only glue the stones onto the neckline, collar or sleeves. Or, you can glue them on in a unique and creative design. Be sure to draw the design on the shirt before you start gluing.

      Cut off the sleeves and neckline to give your shirt a rocker look. Leave the edges rough and un-hemmed. These types of shirts are trendy, stylish and expensive in stores. Giving it a grunge look will make you look fashion forward and hip.

      Pair your old shirt with trendy jeans and outerwear to play up your outfit. Wear a sequined jacket and skinny jeans with your shirt. Add jewelry to your outfit. Statement necklaces and bold earrings make a huge difference in your appearance. They can improve the look of any old, loose or boring shirt.
