How to Make a Fishing Rod on Stranded 2
"Stranded II" is an adventure game published by Unreal Software and released for the PC in 2007. The game follows the adventures of a shipwreck survivor on an abandoned island with the ultimate goal of building a raft to sail back to civilization. Basic survival skills are needed to advance in the game, including gathering food, constructing a shelter and making tools. Making a fishing pole is critical to the player's survival and can be done with items found on the island.

Finish the initial tasks needed for immediate survival, including finding food and water, making tools and building a shelter.

Search the island to locate the fishing area, cotton plants and trees.

Use a stick to knock cotton balls from the cotton plants. Gather them and bring them to your camp.

Use the hammer you created earlier to smack trees close to the waterline, which will loosen a bendable branch. Bring the branch back to your camp.

Select a cotton ball and click the "Use" button, which will turn the cotton ball into a cord.

Select the cord you just created and at the same time a bendable branch and click the "+" button, which is the "Combine" button.

Tips & Warnings
You can make a fishing net by making 10 cords from cotton balls, selecting all of the cords and hitting the "Combine" button.
