  • Red food coloring
  • Blue food coloring
  • Bowls
  • Teaspoons
  • Hot water
  • Dried lavender buds
  • Strainer
  • 200 grams icing sugar
  • 1cup butter
  • Spatula
  • Sponge or other cake
  • Fresh lavender flowers

Instructions

      Put equal amounts of red and blue food coloring into a bowl. Mix together till you get the right shade of lavender for your cake.

      Pour a cup of hot water into a bowl. Add the lavender buds and infuse for about 15 minutes. Strain into another bowl.

      Mix butter sugar and the lavender tea in a bowl to make a thick frosting. You can add or reduce ingredients until you get the right consistency. Add the lavender food coloring to the mixture and fold until evenly distributed.

      Spread the frosting mixture over the cake evenly; cover the cake completely.

      Press the fresh lavender flowers to the sides of the cake into the fresh frosting. Place some of the flowers on the top of the cake.
