How to Link to Another Tab in Facebook

How to Link to Another Tab in Facebook thumbnail
You can link to any Facebook tab, depending on user privacy settings.

Facebook profiles and Pages are best known for the "Wall" tab. It is typically the default or "landing" tab when a user navigates to a specific Facebook profile or Page. You can link to a Wall tab by copying and pasting its URL. However, it works exactly the same when viewing any other tab -- such as Info, Notes, Photos or any other app. Note that when linking to anything Facebook, the recipient of your link may not be able to view the contents, depending on the target Facebook user's privacy settings.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to Facebook if you intend to link to a tab in a private profile and not a Facebook Page. You do not need to log in if you want to link to a tab in a public Facebook Page.

    • 2

Navigate to the Facebook profile or Page you want to link to. If you do not know the default Web address to the profile or Page, type the name in the search box at the top of the screen and click it when it appears below the search box.

    • 3

Click any tab while viewing the profile or Page to navigate to the Web page that tab represents. For example, you can click "Notes," "Photos" or an app name.

    • 4

Click inside the address bar of your Internet browser and press "Ctrl" and "C" to copy the URL to your computer's clipboard.

    • 5

Navigate to wherever you want to paste the link -- such as a new email or a Facebook status update -- and press "Ctrl" and "V" to paste the URL.
