Facebook group profiles can only be deleted by an administrator.

Facebook groups let you connect with people you share a specific bond with in your personal life, such as the members of your youth group. As the creator of a youth group Facebook profile, you will automatically be an administrator and therefore allowed to edit the profile and add new members. To share the burden with another member, just go to the full member list and click the "Make Admin" link beneath her name to add her as an administrator.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to your Facebook account and go to the homepage.

    • 2

Click on the "Create Group" link, located on the left side of the homepage.

    • 3

Use the popup window to fill out the name and select a privacy level of your new group--privacy levels are open, closed and secret. Open groups are visible to everyone on Facebook and can be joined by anyone without approval, closed groups are visible in search but their content is hidden and membership must be approved by an administrator, and secret groups are completely hidden from anyone who is not a member.

    • 4

Add members to your group by typing a friend's name in the Members field. You may not add people who are not on your friend list. If you want to include someone in the group who is not on your friend list, you must contact her after the group is created and encourage her to request membership.

Click "Create" to officially start your group profile. Once on the profile, click the "Edit Group" link in the right column of the screen to add a description -- only administrators will see this link, so other group members will not be able to alter the group profile.
