How to Make a Carousel Tie Rack

Keep your ties within easy view and reach with a carousel tie rack.

Carousel tie racks allow you to store many different ties in an arrangement in which you can rotate the rack to see all of your ties in a short space. Many battery-powered carousel tie racks are available from different manufacturers, but if you want a simpler version, you can hang one from the ceiling of your closet to keep all of your ties at hand.

Things You'll Need

• Stud finder
• Top-mount swivel hanger
• Cordless drill

Instructions

1. Use your stud finder to find a joist in the ceiling of your closet. Find a spot where you can attach the hanger without interfering with your other clothing hanging in the closet.

2. Attach the top-mount swivel hanger to the ceiling using the hardware provided with the kit. Test the swiveling action by spinning the circle to see if it moves freely.

3. Hang your ties from the outer ring of the hanger.
