How to Comment on Facebook Posts via Text Message
Frequent online interaction plays an important role in maintaining one's social media presence. For those social butterflies without Internet access on their mobile phones, being away from a computer often means missing tantalizing bits of cyber-conversation. Fortunately, Facebook allows users to stay in touch via text messaging. If you want to utilize this feature, you must register your mobile number with Facebook. Once registered, you can send and receive status updates, comments and wall posts.

Activate Facebook Mobile

Browse to Facebook.com and sign in to your account.

Click on the "Account" tab in the upper right corner of your browser window and select "Account Settings" from the drop-down menu.

Click the "Mobile" tab on the left column, then click the green "Add a phone" button.

Choose your country and mobile carrier from the drop-down menus and click "Next."

Send a text with the letter "F" to 32665 from the mobile phone you will use to access Facebook.

Enter the confirmation code you receive via text message from Facebook and click the "Next" button. You may subscribe to the status updates of as many friends as you wish.
Commenting via Text

Subscribe to another Facebook user's status updates. Navigate to his Facebook page (on your computer) and click the "Subscribe via SMS" link below his profile picture.

Receive text message updates on your mobile phone each time your friend updates his status.

Post a comment to a status update by replying to the status-update text message.
