Origami can be a pleasant way to spend some time being artistic, and your origami creations can be used for many things. You can use them as decoration in your house, Christmas ornaments, gift wrapping decor or toys. A pig is one of the many animals you can create in origami. You can make an entire farm play set or art scene. Making an origami pig is simple enough that a child can be taught to do it, too.

    • 1

Fold your origami paper in half, crease and then open the folded paper.

    • 2

Fold the first half to meet the center crease, then repeat with the opposite side. Fold the paper in half from left to right and reopen it again.

    • 3

Fold the first half so that it meets in the center, then repeat with the opposite side.

    • 4

Open up the left corner, and flatten it down so that it creates the shape of a triangle. Repeat for the remaining three corners. Lift half of the right side, and fold it. Fold the bottom half to meet the top half.

    • 5

Take the left tip and fold it over. Repeat on the opposite side. Do the same on both sides for the right tip, only crease the right side and fold it slightly. Crease the top of this fold.
