How to Make a Spiderweb Prop
Spiderwebs are a great way to enhance the spookiness of a Halloween party or a scary play. If you need a spiderweb, and you need something that is more of a prop that can be handled and placed accordingly, make your own using yarn and hot glue. This durable spiderweb can be hung or handled and with good storage, can be used multiple Halloweens in a row.

1
Cut five lengths of yarn that are each 3 feet long. This creates a spiderweb that is about 6 feet wide.
-
2
Knot all the strand together at one end.
-
-
3
Lay newspaper down on the ground to cover your work area.
-
4
Spread the yarn out on the newspaper so that all five lengths are laid flat. This creates five strands of yarn protruding from a knotted center. Arrange the yarn so that there is an equal amount of space between each strand.
-
5
Choose one strand and glue one end of your ball of yarn, 1 inch away from the center using hot glue.
-
6
Stretch the strand of yarn you just glued to the next strand going clockwise, gluing it there as well.
-
7
Create the web by spiraling the yarn around the center, making a larger circuit every time you get to the first stand. It does not matter if the yarn is entirely even.
-
8
Snip the yarn when the web is as large as you want it to be.
-
9
Allow the hot glue to dry thoroughly. When the glue is dried thoroughly, the spiderweb prop is ready to be used.
