How to Know What Dress Size You Wear
The best way to discover your dress size is to go into a store and try on a variety of dresses. If you are ordering online or through a catalog, you should follow a basic way to test your dress size. Not all designers or labels will fit the same, but adhering to a simple chart will give you an average size.

1
Measure your chest. Hold a measuring tape under your arms, across your back and across the largest part of your chest.
-
2
Measure your waist. Hold the measuring tape around your natural waistline. If you need assistance finding your natural waistline, bend to one side and hold the measuring tape where you curve in.

3
Measure your hips. Hold the measuring tape around the fullest part of your hips and rear.

4
Compare your measurements to a dress chart to decide your dress size. If your measurements fall outside of the proportions, choose a size up or just use the chest measurement if you have a large chest.
