How to Grow Your Kitten in "RuneScape"
Getting a kitten from Gertrude in the world of "RuneScape" is exciting, and you'll enjoy the pet's company. To grow your kitten, you must do many of the things that you would do for a kitten in real life. It requires food, exercise and your love and companionship. If you ignore the pet or fail to feed it for too long, it will run away and you'll have to return to Gertrude and pay for another one. Your kitten will become a fully grown cat after following you around for two to five hours of game time. Thereafter you will no longer have to feed it. You must complete the Gertrude's Cat quest to get a kitten. Kittens are only visible on paid member servers.

1
Drop your kitten when you receive it from Gertrude. It will follow you everywhere you go, even if you teleport anywhere in the world of "RuneScape." If you board a ship or magic carpet with your kitten, it will appear next to your side when you arrive at your destination. If you need to enter a door or a gate, or climb a rope or ladder, it will stay behind you and catch up with you soon.

2
Feed your kitten when it is hungry, or every time it meows to you. You can give your pet milk or raw anchovies, shrimp, salmon, monkfish or manta rays; raw or cooked sardines, trout, bass, tuna, cod, herring, lobsters, swordfish or sharks. Kittens need to be fed roughly once every 20 minutes. If you let the kitten get too hungry, it will run away forever and you cannot get it back.

3
Interact with your kitten every time it meows. Click on the kitten and choose from the menu. Talk to the pet and it will meow at you. Stroke the kitten and it will roll over on its back and purr. If you have completed the Icthlarin's Little Helper quest and have a Catspeak amulet, you can hold a human conversation with your pet.

4
Acquire a ball of wool so that you can play with your kitten, if you wish. The pet does not require playtime in order to grow, but does consider it to be acceptable interaction and you will both enjoy it. You can purchase a ball of wool from the Grand Exchange or the Ardougne General Store. You can also shear a sheep to get wool to spin into a ball of wool, if you don't care to buy one.
-
5
Pick your kitten up any time that you need to do so. You can carry it around in your backpack until it's more convenient to let the kitty out again. You can also store the pet in your bank indefinitely. It will stop growing and won't need to be fed until you take it out and drop it again.
