How to Fix a Run in Your Tights
Tights, also called pantyhose or stockings, can serve as both an undergarment and a fashion item. Typically made with polyester, cotton or a mix of both, tights come in a wide variety of colors, patterns and textures that are appropriate for many different occasions. Tights are available for women, teens, children and babies, and in addition to keeping legs warm, they can add color to an outfit. Because tights are durable but not very thick, a run will sometimes occur; although it can't be mended, it can be stopped.

1
Purchase clear nail polish if you don't already have some. The nail polish will not actually "fix" the run but it will stop it and keep it from getting bigger. If you catch it before it gets too large, it won't be very noticeable.

2
Apply the nail polish to the run. If the run happens while you are wearing the tights, try and gently lift the fabric off of your skin so that the nail polish doesn't stick. If you notice the run before you put tights on, stretch the fabric across your open hand to apply the nail polish to the run.

Allow the nail polish to dry and harden. Once it hardens, you should be able to go about your day without the run getting any bigger.

Tips & Warnings
Always keep an extra pair of tights in your purse or car in case of an unexpected run. It will save you from having to stop and purchase a new pair if it's for an important event.
