How to Connect a Karaoke Mixer to a PS3

Hook up a PS3 to the karaoke mixer to play back a variety of multimedia discs.

A Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) will play back CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs, in addition to gaming discs. This means you can connect the game console to a karaoke mixer for playback of multimedia discs in the same manner as hooking up other types of audio-video equipment, such as a Blu-ray or CD player. Use the cable that comes with the PS3 to connect to the karaoke mixer's color-coded jacks. You don't need any special tools or equipment to do this.

Instructions

1. Press the round power button on the edge of the PS3 to shut off the game console.

2. Connect the flat plug on one end of the cable supplied with your PS3 to the port on the back edge of the console.

3. Insert the three plugs on the other end of the cable into the matching white, yellow and red input jacks on the karaoke mixer.

4. Play back discs normally on the PS3.
