How Do You Reverse Print for T-Shirt Decals on Windows 07
Designing your own decal and printing it on a T-shirt requires heat-transfer or iron-on printer paper. One important aspect of printing the decals onto the special paper is that, depending on the paper you are using, you may need to reverse or print in "mirror image." This is a function of the printer and its accompanying software. It is an option that must be selected within the printer settings itself not in the operating system, such as Windows.
Instructions
-
-
1
Click on "File" in the program you designed your decal in.
-
2
Click "Print" in the drop-down menu. This will bring up the "Print" window.
-
-
3
Click on the "Properties" button. In some printer software the button will be labeled "Preferences," or "Advanced."
-
4
Click on the tabs at the top of the new window until you find the "Portrait" and "Landscape" options. Printers and their software may use different labels for their tabs, in some it is under the tab labeled "Layout." You may have to explore a little to find the correct tab.

5
Select the "reverse" or "mirror image" option and click "OK."
-
6
Click "OK" again to print.

Tips & Warnings
Print the decal on standard printer paper first to make sure the image is reversed.
You can search for "mirror" or "reverse" in the printers help file that comes with the printer software to assist you.
If your printer does not offer the "mirror image" or "reverse" option, try saving the decal as a image file such as a .jpg and reversing or mirroring it in a image editing program before printing.
Not all printers have this option. Check before purchasing the special paper.
