How to Learn to Be an Armorer
Law enforcement personnel protect the public by upholding the law and arresting criminals. Police officers use firearms to carry out their work, but sometimes a problem arises when the equipment malfunctions. An armorer is a trained law enforcement worker who has studied how to troubleshoot firearm problems and repair the equipment. For a law enforcement worker to become an armorer, she must take required courses to obtain certification. The length of the training may be based on the type of firearms in service at a police station.
