How to Defrost Chopped Meat in the Microwave
It is important to correctly defrost chopped meat so that it remains safe to eat. The Food Safety and Inspection Service, a division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, recommends defrosting chopped meat in the refrigerator for the safest option. However, there is a method of defrosting chopped meat in the microwave that won't cause bacteria or food poisoning. Remove the meat from the freezer.

Place the chopped meat in a microwave-safe bowl or on a plate.

Defrost the chopped meat by using the defrost setting on the microwave. You should be able to set the time based on the weight of the meat you are defrosting.

Cook the chopped meat directly after defrosting it so it does not go bad.
