How to Block a Channel on a Magnavox TV
Magnavox calls its parental controls feature Child Lock. This feature prevents children from watching programming or stations that are not appropriate for their age. When you enable Child Lock for a specific channel, the TV will not allow you to switch to that channel without putting in a passcode. You can also enable Child Lock for specific video inputs, and enable it to block certain ratings across all channels.

Press the "MENU" button on the remote control.

Scroll to "Features" using the up and down arrow buttons. Press "OK" to confirm.

Highlight "Child Lock" and press the "OK" button.

Enter the passcode. The default passcode is "0000."

Press "OK" to access "Channel Lock."

Scroll to the channel or input you want to block.

Press "OK" to switch the setting to "Block." A padlock icon will appear next to the channel.

Tips & Warnings
Block TV or movie ratings from the Child Lock screen under US TV Ratings Lock and US Movie Ratings Lock. When you block a specific rating, the TV will automatically block all the ratings higher than the one you selected.
