Decorate a heart candy box with a paper tuxedo.

Sometimes it is difficult to find a masculine gift for your loved one for Valentine's Day. If you find yourself facing this challenge, make a custom tuxedo candy box for your valentine. You can accomplish this by recycling an old, heart-shaped candy box and embellishing it with craft supplies you have in your craft stash. You can further customize this candy box by making your own chocolates in your loved one's favorite flavors and filling the box with the sweet treats. Be creative.

Things You'll Need

  • Heart-shaped cardboard candy box
  • Pencil
  • Red card stock
  • Glue stick
  • Tuxedo template

Instructions

    • 1

Place the top of the heart-shaped box down on a piece of red card stock. Trace the box with a pencil. Repeat this with the bottom of the box. Cut out the hearts.

    • 2

Slick the glue stick across the hearts and press the hearts onto the top and bottom of the candy box.

    • 3

Print out a tuxedo template from a free clip art website (see Resources). Print the template on a piece of white card stock. Cut out the tuxedo.

    • 4

Slick the glue stick on the back of the tuxedo cutout and press the template onto the top of the heart-shaped box so that it is in the middle of the box. If your tuxedo template is slightly larger than the box, then place it toward the top of the box so that it overlaps the curved part of the heart. Turn the box over and snip away the excess tuxedo hanging over the box by following the curve of the heart-shaped box.

Line the tuxedo bow on the template with black glitter glue. Dot the buttons on the tuxedo template with black glitter glue. Allow the glue to dry.
