      Check the plug of the machine for signs of damage and to make sure it is plugged in.

      Plug in another device into the outlet to make sure the outlet is working.

      Empty the chaff tray. Roasters will not turn on if the chaff tray is full.

      Check your fuse box to make sure the fuse that controls the outlet has not been tripped.
