How to Make a Fish Feeding Wand
Some goldfish are much smarter than they look. If you have seen videos of Oscar the goldfish, you know that you can train goldfish using a fish feeding wand. Fish feeding wands are elongated objects that hold food at the end of them. Don't waste your money on expensive store-bought fish feeding wands. With a few snips and cuts, you are on your way to making a fish feeding wand.

Find two straws of different diameters. Using scissors, cut the thicker straw one-inch shorter than the thinner straw.

Cut a hole 1/2 inch from the end of the straw. Squeeze the side of the straw. Cut a triangle shape halfway into the straw using a utility knife. The diamond-shaped hole is used to feed the fish.

3
Cut an eraser the same diameter of the thinner straw. Place the eraser in the straw to block the end.
-
4
Pour fish food into the diamond-shaped hole. Fill 1/4 of the straw with food.

5
Insert the thinner straw into the thicker straw. Push the thinner straw out to feed the fish. Retract the thinner straw to block the food hole.
