How to Make Centerpieces Made With Glass Cylinders
Glass cylinders are tall, thin decorative containers that can make elegant table centerpieces. Create a unique centerpiece with cylinders of different sizes, a bouquet of fresh flowers, floating candles and small, flat stones of different colors. Because water will be added, make sure the stones don't float. Test your stones by placing them in a bowl of water prior to making the centerpiece. Floating votive candles fit best in glass cylinders.

1
Pour colored stones into the shorter glass cylinders, filling about a quarter of the way up the cylinders. Pour water into the cylinders slowly until it is two inches above the stones or about halfway up the cylinders. Place an unlit floating candle in each cylinder.

2
Pour stones into the tallest cylinder until it is a quarter full. Pour water in to the halfway point. Stick a bouquet of flowers into the cylinder, wiggling the stems down into the stones for stability. Add more water until the level is two inches from the top of the cylinder.

Position the cylinders in the center of the table, flanking the tallest cylinder with the shorter two. Light the candles carefully, blowing them out before the cylinders are moved again.
