Instructions

    • 1

Group your hangers into three pairs, placing them directly on top of one another. Hold the hangers in front of you with the hanger hook facing right. Strap the individual groups together by wrapping a twist tie around the right elbows, the bends that hold the shoulders of shirts, of the hangers.

    • 2

Connect the three groups of hangers by the elbows with twist ties on them. Wrap one twist tie around the elbows of all three groups to fasten them together.

    • 3

Spread the pairs of hangers until they create a tripod, with each hanger pair equidistant from the other. The hooks of the hangers should point inward and up, supporting the center of the tree. You can bend the hanger hooks to make your tree taller or shorter.

    • 4

Bend each hanger hook out 45-degrees. This should create a 90-degree angle between each pair of hooks, with each individual hook pointing in the direction of an adjacent hanger.

    • 5

Twist tie each hook to the bottom elbow of its adjacent hanger. Each bottom elbow should be attached to two hooks. This stabilizes the tree.

    • 6

Tie your garland to one of the hooks in the center of the tree. Thread the garland through the hole at the top of the tree, created by the top three elbows. Wrap the garland around the tree frame until you completely cover the hangers.

    • 7

Tie your garland to one of the bottom hanger elbows when finished. Cut off any excess garland.
