How to Make Accordion Books That Tie Closed
An accordion book can be used to display photos or make a picture book for children. If you're giving the accordion book as a gift, you can add pictures and journal entries as a mini-scrapbook. One way you can make an accordion book is with a tie to keep all the contents locked inside. This can be done a number of ways, but the easiest way is with a ribbon and button.

1
Fold the left edge of a piece of paper to the right, measuring to the size of page you want. Pick the paper up and fold the folded section backwards to the left. Continue until you have no more of the paper left.
-
2
Cut two pieces of cardstock to fit a little larger than the size of the book. Glue the first cardstock to the front page.

3
Measure a ribbon long enough to fit from the back of the book around to the front. Glue the ribbon to the last page of the accordion book on the outside. Glue the second piece of cardstock over the ribbon and the back of the last page.

4
Attach a button or clip to the front of the book. Tie the ribbon around the button or clip it to the front of the book.
