Any woman can tell you that as a child, most of her fantasies revolved around being a princess. Of course, included in this dream was elaborate clothing suited for a princess. Again, most women can remember begging their moms to help them assemble a princess costume. As a mom, it's helpful to know how to make your daughter's dream come true -- and you can, with just a bit of tulle and elastic.

Things You'll Need

  • Elastic
  • Tulle (various colors)
  • Needle and thread

      Measure the waist, and then cut the elastic to fit that size.

      Sew together the ends of the elastic, using a needle and thread.

      Measure from the waist to the desired point for the skirt to end. Double the number and use as the length for tulle strips.

      Cut 50 strips of tulle.

    • 5

      Tie the first strip of tulle to the elastic, securing with a double knot.

    • 6

      Continue tying the strips of tulle to the elastic in the same fashion.

    • 7

      Scrunch the tulle together so that they are as close as possible.
