How to Install the USPS Shipping Assistant
The United States Postal Service (USPS) Shipping Assistant is free software giving you access to many shipping services in the convenience of your own home or business. The software creates barcoded postage labels for both domestic and international packages. Customs forms needed for shipping international items are readily available, and the software calculates rates and estimates delivery times. You can install the USPS Shipping Assistant on your computer.

Go to the website https://www.usps.com/business/shipping-assistant.htm#1 and click the "Download Now" link. Click the Run and Install buttons from the two boxes that appear on screen.

Click the Next button when the Shipping Assistant InstallShield Wizard welcome screen appears.

Read the license agreement and select the button below to accept the terms. Click the Next button.

Enter your name and business name on the Customer Information screen and click the Next button.

Click the Next button to install the program into the default folder. If you want to change the folder, click the Change button and select the folder you want before clicking the Next button.

Review the settings displayed and click the Install button.

Click the Finish button when you see the message "InstallShield Wizard Completed." This will complete installation and launch the USPS Shipping Assistant.

Your computer must meet the following system requirements to install the USPS Shipping Assistant:
Windows XP Home or Professional, Vista or Windows 7 operating system
Internet Explorer Version 6.0.1 or higher
At least 9 MB of free space
An internet connection
