  • Core wool
  • Sewing needle and thread
  • Red wool
  • Fabric scissors
  • Lace
  • Felting needle

Instructions

      Use thread to tie core wool into the shape of a heart.

      Sew red wool over the core wool heart shape. Continue this process until the red wool is tightly in place.

      Cut a 1/2-inch incision around the heart's outline.

      Measure the circumference of the heart and cut a piece of lace to fit around it. Gather the lace with a felting needle and insert the lace into the incision all the way around the heart. Stitch the lace to the heart to keep it in place.

      Cut a piece of red organza ribbon to serve as the necklace. Make sure the ribbon is long enough for the necklace to rest between the recipient's sternum and stomach. Sew the ribbon to the top of the heart.
