How to Connect Link Pages
Connecting Web pages using hyperlinks is a simple way to navigate to new Web pages. Hyperlinks are the most basic form of connecting pages on the Internet. People place hyperlinks on their Web pages to link to related pages or friend's pages. Pages that contain mostly links are referred to as "link pages." It is a good idea to link to Web pages that link to your Web page, because this provides a way for a visitor to the site to backtrack. Additionally, it allows search crawlers like Yahoo and Google to determine link value of the page.

4
Contact the owner of the linked Web page and ask for a "backlink" to your link page. Backlinks are incoming links to your Web page. If you own the linked page, write another HTML link back to the initial page. You can check incoming links to your site using a backlink checker.

Tips & Warnings
Some backlinking practices are discouraged by Google and other search engines, as they arbitrarily add link value to some pages. Google and other search providers may penalize Web pages with purchased or irrelevant backlinks, or pages containing backlinks from untrustworthy Web sites.
