How to Connect iCal to a Razr

The Motorola Razr may seem simple compared to features available on smartphones today, but its heavy-duty body was built to last, and plenty of people still use them. The Razr does have some handy features, including Bluetooth syncing with other devices. This means that you can connect your Razr to your Mac and sync your iCal calendars to keep your schedule with you on the go.

Instructions

      Click the "System Preferences" icon in your Dock to open your System Preferences on your Mac. Alternatively, you can also access your System Preferences through your Applications folder or the Apple menu.

      Click the Bluetooth pane and then click the "+" sign at the bottom of the left column to add a new device. This opens the Bluetooth Setup Assistant.

      Turn on your Razr. Press the "Menu" button.

      Scroll down to the Bluetooth link and press "Select." Scroll to Setup and press "Select." Scroll to Find Me and press "Select." Press "Yes" to confirm you want to turn on your Bluetooth.

      Go back to your Mac and click "Continue" in the Bluetooth Setup Assistant window.

      Click "Mobile Phone" and then click "Continue." Click "Motorola V3" when your phone appears, and then click "Continue." Click "Continue" again. A PIN number appears on the Bluetooth Setup Assistant screen.

      Press "Yes" on your Razr when you receive a message to bond with your Mac. Enter the PIN from the Bluetooth Setup Assistant window into your Razr and then press "OK."

      Go back to your Mac and click the Set up iSync to Transfer Contacts and Events box in the Bluetooth Setup Assistant window. Click "Continue." iSync launches automatically.

      Click the "Motorola V3" icon in iSync.

      Click the Calendars box. Click "All" to sync all of your iCal calendars or "Selected" to select specific calendars to sync.

      Click the "Sync Devices" button in the upper-right corner of the iSync application window to sync your Razr with iCal.
