How to Cut Drywall Triangles
Many people know the typical way of cutting drywall; scoring along the drywall's face, breaking the drywall along the score line and cutting through the paper backing. This technique works great when you need to make a large piece of drywall smaller. However, if you need to cut a shape, such as a triangle, out of drywall that technique will not work. However, you can still cut drywall easily using a number of tools available. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Determine the size of triangle you need for the project. Lay a sheet of drywall on two sawhorses and transfer the location of the triangle's points onto the sheet of drywall.
-
2
Intersect two of the points with a 4-foot level. Use the level as a straight edge to draw a pencil line connecting the two points. Move the level to intersect two more points and draw a straight line connecting them. Repeat with the final two points.

Push a keyhole saw's tip into one of the lines you drew, near the point. Use a sawing motion to cut through the drywall. When you reach the next point, angle the keyhole saw, while making the sawing motion, to turn the corner. Continue sawing until you cut out the triangle shape.
