How to Create a Vanity Link for Your Facebook Group Page

Facebook Groups lets like-minded people communicate publicly or privately.

Facebook Groups is a built-in application that lets any user create a group for communicating with its member users. If you administer a Facebook group, you can create a vanity link that allows anyone to navigate directly to the group by entering the link into the address bar of a browser. To create the vanity link, you must set up a group email address. The email address you choose will also determine your vanity link.

Instructions

1. Log in to Facebook and navigate to the Facebook group for which you want to create a vanity link.

2. Click the "Edit Group" link on the right side of the screen. This displays the basic information settings for the Facebook group.

3. Click the "Set Up Group Email" link in the "Email Address" section in the center of the screen. An email setup panel appears.

4. Type a vanity name for your Facebook group and click the "Create Email" link. This creates the group email address as well as the group vanity link in the form of "facebook.com/groups/name."
