How to Watch Media Center PC Content On Portable Devices

Plugging in your Media Center PC features to portable devices is easy. Now you can play and record content directly from your PC to other portable devices that are compatible with the Windows Media PC system. You can connect the portable Media Center to your Media Center PC and you are ready to copy and record TV shows and other media. You can transfer and copy pictures, movies, audio files and much more.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Configure your Media Center PC. Following this, you can connect a Portable Media Center to it.

  2. Step 2

    Read the instructions that come with the portable device carefully and thoroughly.

  3. Step 3

    Use your remote to start the process. Begin by pressing the green "Start" button. Select "More Programs" from the menu.

  4. Step 4

    Select the "Sync To Device" option on the menu. A dialog box will open. Select "Edit Lists" in the dialog box and continue.

  5. Step 5

    Select "Add More" on the Manage List screen. Choose "Recorded TV" on the "Add More" page screen.

  6. Step 6

    Select the shows or programs you wish to synchronize to your portable device. You can choose multiple shows and programs. Press "Save"

  7. Step 7

    Select "Start Sync." Now you are ready to move content from your Media center PC to the connected portable device.

Tips & Warnings
  • While synchronization is on, pay attention to the items you want to prioritize. The Media Center PC synchronizes items beginning from the top and continuing till the bottom of the list. You can use the up and down arrow keys to prioritize the items. Ranking will allow you to synchronize items.
  • The first synchronization will be slow. However your future synchronizations will be much faster as Media Center will automatically prepare the new content for transfer to the portable device.
