Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Go to an authorized dealer for NEC models or check for information online.
Step2
Assess the space for mounting the new TV and the distance between the viewers and the TV model.
Step3
Decide your budget. This will help you before you begin comparing. NEC has a limited range of LCD TVs to offer as of now.
Step4
Distinguish between newer models and the models that have been more or less discontinued from the market. For example, currently NEC offers NEC LCD3210-BK LCD TV 32" HDTV, LCD4010-BK LCD TV 40" HDTV and LCD4610-BK LCD TV 46" HDTV, while older models such as LCD3000 LCD TV 30" HDTV and LCD4000 LCD TV 40" HDTV have been discontinued.
Step5
Decide on the size of TV you would like to buy. Always get a catalog for a single brand. Using a NEC catalog is easy because you can sequentially compare the technical aspects of each model.
Step6
Compare sound quality and picture quality for each. Small screen TV sets may have limited audio options but have superior picture quality.
