Instructions

    • 1

Clean both surfaces that you want to stick together and then dry them thoroughly. Use only water to wash the glass, not detergents, as any residue may cause poor adhesion.

    • 2

Align the surfaces that you want to stick together. Hold them together where they will join and ensure there will be no gaps.

    • 3

Apply a small layer of Loctite Glass Bond to just one of the surfaces that you want to join. Use the least possible amount of Glass Bond.

    • 4

Hold the two surfaces together where you want them to join. Hold them together for up to 60 seconds, or until you feel they are fixed in place.

    • 5

Leave the bond to develop for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.

Tips & Warnings

  • To apply the minimum amount of Loctite Glass Bond, while also covering one of the surfaces as completely as possible, a piece of hard, flat plastic (such as the back part of the blade on a disposable plastic knife, for example) can be used as a spatula to quickly spread the glue onto the surface. Run the plastic spatula over the glue for a second or two to spread it after you have squeezed it out from the tube and before you join the surfaces.

  • Keep the product away from children. Wear protective goggles and gloves and use the product in a well-ventilated area. If you get some of the adhesive in your eyes, wash them quickly with cold water and seek medical attention. Dispose of waste product safely. Be careful not to allow the product to be released into the environment as it can be very harmful to aquatic creatures and cause long-term damage to their natural habitat.
