Emotes in MSN Messenger are cartoon faces which you can insert into your messages to convey various emotions. Double-click on the name of the contact to whom you want to send a message in your contact list.

Place your cursor in the message field. Click on the "Smiley" icon and select the emoticon you want to embed into your message.

Click and drag your mouse over the emoticon to select it. Click on the "Font" button to open the "Font Settings" window.

Select a larger font size from the menu and click on "OK." MSN Messenger automatically enlarges the emoticon you selected.
