How to Get a Friendship App in "Pokemon Diamond Edition"
In "Pokemon Diamond," the Poketch is a wristwatch device the main character receives early in the game. The Poketch features a variety of useful applications, such as a clock, calendar and map. The Friendship Checker, also known as the Happiness Checker, is a Poketch application allowing you to track your Pokemon's contentment level. Certain species of Pokemon, such as Golbat and Chansey, will evolve once their happiness has reached the maximum level.

Fly to Eterna City in western Sinnoh. If you don't have the fly ability, you can walk there by traveling east on Route 206, west on Route 211 or north on Route 206.

Enter the Pokemon Center in the west section of Eterna City.

Talk to the brown-haired girl standing in front of the Pokemon Center's main desk. She will add the Friendship Checker to your Poketch.

Open the Friendship Checker from the Poketch menu. Images of the Pokemon in your active party will appear at the bottom of the Nintendo DS screen.

Press a Pokemon icon with the stylus. Hearts will display, giving you an estimation of that Pokemon's happiness. Two full hearts indicate maximum happiness.

Tips & Warnings
Eevee, Chansey, Golbat, Togepi, Pichu, Igglybuff, Azurill, Cleffa, Buneary, Budew, Chingling Riolu and Munchlax are the Pokemon species that evolve when they obtain maximum happiness. You can increase or decrease their happiness by various methods. For example, vitamins, grooming and the Soothe Bell item will increase happiness. Herbal medicines and poor battle performance will decrease a Pokemon's happiness.
