"Trade Nations" is one of the many resource allocation games available for mobile operating systems.

"Trade Nations" is a video game created for Facebook and the iPhone that is a cross between a town-building game and a resource gathering/trading game. In "Trade Nations," players construct various buildings within their town space and assign workers to operate them. One such building is the Stone Cutter, which allows the player to create cut stone when built. The stone is valuable both as a trade item and as a construction material, so it is an important building to acquire.

Instructions

    • 1

Reach Level 12 by acquiring at least 7,500 experience points through in-game activities, such as building shops, creating resources, and trading.

    • 2

Build a keep in your town.

    • 3

Build three cottages so you have three new citizens who need a job.

    • 4

Collect 2,000 coins by trading resources for money.

    • 5

Collect 1,250 rock by using your quarry, which you will already have by Level 12.

    • 6

Collect 2,000 lumber by using your Logging Camp to get wood and then converting it to lumber in your Lumber Yard. You will have both of these buildings by Level 12.

    • 7

Select the "Build Hammer" in the bottom right corner of the screen, navigate to the Buildings tab (it looks like a house), and select the Stone Cutter. Place the Stone Cutter near the Stockpile and the Quarry.

    • 8

Find one of the cottages you built in Step 3, and select the citizen standing outside of it. Select "Give Job," and then select the Stone Cutter. The Stone Cutter supplies three jobs: two cutters and a hauler. Give one of the jobs to your citizen, and then repeat with the other two idle citizens until all jobs at the Stone Cutter are filled.

    • 9

Make sure your Quarry is producing stone (it needs to have workers). If it is, and you have built and assigned workers to the Stone Cutter, your town will produce cut stone.
