How to Model With Children
Modeling with children can be fun and rewarding but also challenging. Modeling can take up a lot of time and demand lots of patience from the parent and child. However, if you can make your appointments and stick with an agency, your child might get an exciting opportunity and show up in a commercial or magazine.

1
Go to a major city, like New York, Chicago, Los Angeles or Miami. While other cities have modeling agencies and opportunities, these are the most active places for modeling.

2
Get professional pictures taken. If you have confidence in your own photography abilities, take pictures at home. Otherwise, hire a photographer to take a variety of pictures of your child. You will probably need 8 by 10 color copies of a close-up, a full-body photo and a posed picture. These are the most common requests from agencies.

Find an agency. Search the Internet or Yellow Pages to find reputable agencies that take children. They will probably ask you to send in photos to decide whether or not to take your child. Don't visit the agency first---lots of people look different in person than on camera, and becoming a model only works if you look good on camera. If the agency likes the pictures, they will call to make a meeting time.

Don't miss appointments or meetings. Kids and their parents can have busy schedules, but if you agreed to work with a photographer or meet with an agency, you need to be there. Cancelling frequently can hurt your reputation.
