How to Make a Sports Bra Out of Tan Tights
A sports bra refers to a specific type of athletic attire designed specifically for women to give comfort, support and security to their breasts during participation in sports or athletic activities, including dance and figure skating. Well-made sports bras that will last a long time tend to be expensive, and women generally need to wash their sports bras after each use, making it useful and a timesaver to have a large collection of such garments. While not everyone can afford that, you can make your own simple, lightweight and reasonably effective sports bra out of a pair of tan tights.

1
Place a clean pair of tan tights in front of you face up, on a flat surface. Turn the tights so the waistband faces downwards and the legs of the tights create a V-shape.
-
2
Mark with a piece of chalk the approximate area where the hip bone ends and the leg area of the tights begin. Make a mark on each leg.
-
-
3
Cut off each tight leg, using your mark as guide. These are the armholes of your sports bra.
-
4
Fold the tights so that the diamond shape of the crotch is facing you. Draw a diamond around this diamond shape that is three to four times as large, using your piece of chalk.
-
5
Cut out around this large diamond. This is the neckline of your sports bra, and it is now ready to wear.
