How to Import Favorites Into Internet Explorer

If you are changing your computer or switching to Internet Explorer from any other web browser, you can take your favorites along with you. With a few easy clicks of the mouse, you'll be ready to use your favorite bookmarks in a new Internet Explorer window.

      Open an Internet Explorer window. Click on the "File" menu and select "Import and Export..."

      Click the "Next" button in the window that pops up. On the next screen select "Import Favorites" and click "Next."

      Click "Browse..." On the next screen and in the window that pops up choose the favorites or bookmark files you wish to import and click "Open." Now click the "Next" button.

      Choose a specific folder to have your new favorites go into or you can just have them added to the main list by clicking "Next" without choosing a folder.

      Click "Finish." You can find your new favorites in the Favorites menu of each Explorer Browser window.
