Create an elegant decoration on your scarf. Square scarves are tied in a manner that creates a rose in the center of the scarf. Tie the scarf around your neck or wear it as a headband with the rose as a focal point. To tie a rose with a scarf, you need to use your arms and hands to pull the ends apart to make the rose.

Fold the scarf into a triangle by bringing opposite corners together. Tie the long ends into a knot.

Slide the scarf up your arm, like a sling, with the triangle tips resting on your palm.

Hold the outer tip with the sling hand and grab the inner tip with the other hand. It will feel a little awkward at this point.

Pull the inner tip slowly while allowing the knot to fall down your arm and over your hand and knuckles, while holding onto both tips.

Gently pull the tips until you have a rose in the middle of the scarf. The rose will appear on the opposite side of the knot. Tie the scarf with the rose facing out and the knot facing in.
