How to Get Hoenn Starter in "Pokemon Diamond"

The three Hoenn starters from "Pokemon Ruby" and "Pokemon Sapphire" are not normally available in "Pokemon Diamond" for the Nintendo DS. Treecko, the Grass-type lizard Pokemon; Mudkip, the Water-type amphibian; and Torchic, the Fire-type bird Pokemon are the three Hoenn starters. To obtain them, you must use an Action Replay hacking device.

Instructions

1. Connect "Pokemon Diamond" to the Action Replay hacking device.

2. Connect the Action Replay hacking device to your Nintendo DS, by inserting it into the game-cartridge slot.

3. Turn on your DS system, and select the Action Replay on-screen icon.

4. Enter the following codes into the "codes" screen.

   For Treecko:

5. Press "Start," and then select your "Pokemon Diamond" save file to begin playing. Press and hold the shoulder buttons, to activate the codes.

Tips & Warnings

• Only one code may be used at a time. So if you want all three, you will have to repeat this process three times.
