How to Make a Yorkie Poo Go on Pads
A Yorkie Poo or Yorkiepoo is a hybrid dog -- a crossbreed between a Yorkshire terrier and a miniature poodle. The breed was created to produce non-shedding dogs, which are ideal for people with allergies. The personality of a Yorkie Poo is a combination of both parents. Yorkie Poos are sociable, intelligent and typically easy to train. Making your Yorkie Poo go on pads is similar to training a dog to go on newspapers. However, pads are more practical, since they absorb the urine, have a waterproof backing and make your cleaning job easier.

Choose a location for the pads. Ideally, opt for a space that has an easy-to-clean tile floor such as a bathroom or kitchen. Avoid placing the pads near the dog's kennel, bed or food bowls.

Feed your Yorkie Poo at regular hours, so that it eliminates at similar times during the day and you are able to place the dog on the pads.

Watch for signs indicating your puppy wants to urinate or eliminate feces (e.g., scratching or sniffing the floor, restlessness). Take your puppy immediately to the pads, and allow it to eliminate. Reward the puppy with a treat, if it eliminates on the pads.

Take your Yorkie Poo to the pads after each meal, after naps or playtime, and before going to sleep -- which are times your puppy is likely to urinate. In this way, you establish a routine.

Make a loud noise when you catch your puppy urinating outside the pads area. The puppy is likely to stop, and you should then move it to the pads to finish there. Even if the puppy has finished eliminating outside the pads area, take it to the pads anyway, so that it learns this is the spot where it should go.

Tips & Warnings
Place some plastic sheets underneath the pads, so that urine won't get on your floors if it runs off the edge.
Be persistent when training your Yorkie Poo to use the pads. The puppy is unlikely to use the pads within a few days.
Don't punish or shout at your puppy, if it's urinating outside the designated area.
