How to Close a Second Life Account
Second Life gives you a way to interact in a 3D online world with friends from around the globe. If you do not already have friends who play Second Life, you can make them within this world. As you explore Second Life, you can attend live concerts, art galleries and other events. With a paid subscription, you can even own your own home within this virtual world. If Second Life has begun to take up too much of your time -- or simply no longer holds its prior appeal -- close your account.

Direct the browser of your choice to the Second Life site.

Click the "Login" link near the upper right corner of the page, then sign in using your username and password.

Click "Account" on the left side of the page. This gives you a list of options.

Click "Cancel Account" near the bottom of the list of options that appears in the left panel. Click "Cancel Account" near the bottom of the page that opens. This cancels your account.

Tips & Warnings
You cannot reactivate your account without paying a fee, so be sure you truly want to cancel your account before you do so.
