How to Attach a Lever to a Mousetrap
Mice can be a problem when they invade your home. Despite all the advances in mousetrap technology, the oldest and most widely used mouse trap is the snap trap. This trap has a spring-loaded lever that snaps down on the mouse when it engages the trigger where the bait is placed. However, this trap is useless when the lever is not attached properly to the trap. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Set the lever bar with the spring on the mouse trap base so that the spring is in the center of the base and the active bar on the side of the trap where the trigger is located.
-
2
Hold the lever in place. Use the pliers to pull the wire ends of the spring down so they will have tension when the lever is pulled to the locking position.
-
-
3
Use the hammer and heavy duty staples to fasten the lever bar at the corners on both sides of the spring.
-
4
Test the lever by pulling to the locking side. Secure the lever with the locking bar by sliding the locking bar across the lever and inserting it into the hole on the trigger.
-
5
Use the hammer to test the trap and engage the trigger to make the lever snap closed.
