Skinny jeans are popular. The tight fit can make you look great, but it's also very easy to shrink them beyond skinny to unwearable. These simple steps will help ensure you keep the great look of your skinny jeans.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • towel
  • laundry detergent
  • stain remover
  1. Step 1

Spot clean your jeans when you get a stain. Place a towel behind the stained area of fabric and blot with cold water until the stain is gone. If not, apply spot remover and blot with cold water again until the stain is gone.

  2. Step 2

Wash your skinny jeans in cold to warm water. Do not use hot water. Hot water can shrink jeans.

  3. Step 3

Air dry your jeans after washing. Your dryer's high heat can shrink your jeans as much as a full size smaller.

  4. Step 4

Try dry cleaning. This is really your best bet with skinny jeans. It will keep the jean's color wash fresh and no shrinkage will occur.
